Fake Carabiner

OriginalThe carabiner is a piece of equipment that is widely used in sports requiring ropework such as climbing and slacklining. It’s a metal loop with sprung or screwed gate. There are 2 categories of carabiner used in climbing, non-locking and locking. When sold for climbing, carabiner must conform to standard EN12275:1998 ‘Mountaineering equipment – connectors – safety requirements and test methods’ which govern testing protocols, rated strength, and marking.

FakePlease beware when you purchase climbing equipment, in this case the carabiner as last week when I was with the Pelatda DKI team I found an non-genuine carabiner with unknown and blurry logo brand.
If you wish to purchase any climbing equipment, I suggest you to consult with experienced personnel in outdoor activity and purchase it from authorized dealers since you do not want to take any chance with your life if the equipment fails to function properly.
The original climbing equipment will have authorized certification and clear usage guide.
The main factor of your safety comes from your understanding of the safety procedures and familiarity with the usage of equipment.
You can consult with us if you need any guidance in purchasing outdoor activity equipment and we can also suggest the authorized dealers.

I would like to buy one or two basic harness (not too much expensive!), adjustable at tigh and waist, as well as carabiners. Where could I get those in Jakarta or, better, in Pekanbaru ?
Thank you very much for your help.

Nice info…. We should be more care to our safety… So, don’t buy a climbing equipment just because its lower prices. Think more about the quality…
